The New York State Parent Education and Awareness Program (“Program”) is an initiative of Chief Judge Judith S. Kaye, who announced in her 2001 State of the Judiciary address her wish to institutionalize parent education and awareness programs in New York State, to improve the quality of court outcomes involving children in such situations.
AARDVARC www.aardvarc.org is an Abuse, Rape and Domestic Violence Aid and Resource Collection with information for victims of violence, their families and friends, and the agencies and programs which serve them, both public and private.
Safe Place www.austin-safeplace.org is a domestic violence program that works with people with disabilities and offers an online lending library.
The Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence www.wscadv.org runs a Disability Advocacy Project, and the site offers links to a number of disability publications and resource guides.
The Open Directory Project www.dmoz.org/Society/Issues/Disabilities/Abuse/ is the largest, most comprehensive human-edited directory of the Web. It is constructed and maintained by a vast, global community of volunteer editors and includes links to information on domestic violence and disability.
Safe Horizon www.safehorizon.org has a 24 hour hotline and provides emergency shelter for women and their children of Domestic Violence. They also offer services and emergency shelter to single women.
InMotion Online www.inmotiononline.org also offers legal assistance to survivors of Domestic Violence and their families.
South Brooklyn Legal Services www.sbls.org features a frequently asked questions page (FAQ), that has answers to questions from domestic violence survivors, pertaining to housing, shelters, divorce, clothing, food.
