Who We Are
The Outreach Team at Barrier Free Living Inc., is dedicated to assisting homeless people with physical disabilities find the help that they need to secure permanent housing, benefits, psychiatric assistance, physical rehabilitation, legal and substance abuse referrals. The goal: to alleviate substance abuse conditions and enhance their independent living in a consistent and constructive fashion.
The Outreach Team only works with homeless people living in shelters or on the streets of New York City. We do not offer eviction counseling or legal services, but we can link clients to appropriate providers.

How We Help
The Team is composed of: two outreach counselors; one full-time housing specialist; and one part-time housing specialist. The team visits shelters, hospitals (in-patient as well as out-patient units), drop-in centers and the streets of the City of New York to help individuals find a solution to their problems and a better life so that they can accomplish their objectives and goals.
