Resident Housekeeper - Transitional Housing
Barrier Free Living (BFL) is dedicated to helping New Yorkers with disabilities live independently in the community. Through its various programs, BFL provides a broad range of residential and non-residential services to disabled survivors of domestic violence, transitional shelter to the disabled homeless, and outreach to physically disabled individuals with mental health and/or chemical addiction issues. The Resident Housekeeper reports to the Shelter Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sweep and Mop Residential Floors
- Clean Resident Living Quarters (Sweep, Mop, Making of Beds)
- Clean Bathrooms (Basins, Toilets, Mirrors, Mopping, Change Toilet paper)
- Clean Shower rooms
- Dusting and Wiping surfaces
- Clean Windows and Sills
- Emptying Trash Containers
- Linen Maintenance (Cleaning, Stocking, Distributing)
- Toilet paper
- Monitor and report necessary repairs, replacements and safety issues
- Organize and restock utility cart with supplies as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products and procedures
- Physical stamina and mobility including the ability to kneel and bend
- Ability to lift minimum 30 pounds
- Must possess the ability to follow directions and work closely with others
Start Date: ASAP
Hourly $12.00
Hours per week: 14-21
