For the fourth consecutive year, the Assurant Foundation has awarded Barrier Free Living a $10,000 New Growth Fund grant in support of the agency’s work with severely disabled formerly homeless individuals.

Over the years, funds have been used to buy a new stove to feed shelter residents, and to fund initiatives like Barrier Free Living’s successful Project Give Back, where a former shelter resident designs a workshop or project to inspire current shelter residents.
