BFL Supportive Housing Program Celebrates Heart Awareness Month
This month, Barrier Free Living's supportive housing program (BFLA) in the Bronx had events for American Heart Awareness and Teen Dating Violence Awareness.
BFLA tenants learned tips on how to maintain a healthy heart by:
* Knowing and controlling your blood pressure.
* Controlling and managing diabetes.
* Quiting smoking.
* Eating and drinking healthy.
* Being active.
* Managing stress.

Hand-Knitted Scarves Bring Warmth To BFL Programs
Beautiful hand-knitted scarves were donated to Barrier Free Living's (BFL) programs for survivors of domestic violence with disabilities again this February.
Bryant Park Corp. donated 150 scarves which were distributed to all programs, including those working with kids.

Barrier Free Living (BFL) drew supporters, survivors and staff to its Raise the Roof fundraiser held at New York City's Museum of the City of New York on December 11, 2024.
